Paradisians, it's the return of something we're trying to do! Starting this fall we're back with a string of releases and in true Lake Paradise fashion, we're bringing you three really very truly completely different artists who seemingly have no common thread other than good music that found its way to our decrepit Chicago coach house's front porch's bottom step, ya. And let us celebrate for a moment, because it really feels good to look at this display of a truly deep spectrum of sounds that inhabit the Chicago community. This time not all at once, but one after another.
First up is KD Drouin's electronic creature BANALANML, giving us a whirlwind of a tape he is calling Misantropics. Sounds. TONS of sounds. And away from it all. Gettin' lost, drifting further, one white noise patch at a time. Coming out next week, October 3rd! Drouin is hittin' these Europe spots with Last King Of Poland, are these islands? Get in touch if you want more info on where and when firstname.lastname@example.org.

DECEMBER 5TH a newer Chicago group called Fran, led by sing songwriter Maria Jacobson, debuts her first release More Enough. These set of songs really blew me away, right away. Very refreshing. Immediately recalling a 90's Aimee Mann obsession that turned into what I call Casual Window Addiction and the endless nostalgia machine rendering time our natural medical condition. Timeless tunes. There is even a VIDEO! More soon.
And finally, even deader into the winter, after four years of six packs and muscle relaxers, the tragic comedy country banger Sunshine Numbers from Double Morris finally sees the light of day! Somethin' we've been trying to reckon with for four years, almost. So many words cannot undescribe this album. A true shape with undetermined force. I think we were mainly waiting on a drawing of a frog. But any day now we should have a specific release date for this, I might make it my birthday January 22nd.
